Meet Mackenzie O'Rourke
MEEt MACKENZIE
Mackenzie O’Rourke is a member of Gould's Class of 2027. She earned her undergraduate degree from Marist College in 2024, where she fostered her love for entertainment writing as a staff writer for her school's student-run newspaper and as a research intern with a music marketing company. As a 1L, Mackenzie served as a 1L representative for Music Law Society, was a member of Entertainment Law Society, and was a summer research assistant. During her 2L year, Mackenzie has enjoyed being a peer mentor, staff member on the Interdisciplinary Law Journal, and treasurer of Music Law Society. She will be spending her 2L summer at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York City. Mackenzie is a lifelong pop culture lover, going to concerts and perusing Letterboxd in her free time. She hopes to pursue transactional music industry work later in her career.
