Born and raised in Los Angeles, Sahar Shiralian is a third year law student who has always had a passion for entertainment. Before law school, Sahar majored in English and Comparative Literature at UCLA and studied theatre in London. While at UCLA, Sahar worked at the Hammer Museum, and it was while working with independent artists and filmmakers that she decided to pursue a career in entertainment law to defend the rights of artists. Sahar began her career in entertainment at the appellate firm Horvitz & Levy LLP where she gained experience in entertainment litigation. Since then, Sahar has worked at appellate firm Benedon & Serlin, Starz Entertainment, and Donaldson + Callif. Sahar was a Summer Associate at Liner LLP (now DLA Piper). She was President of the Entertainment Law Society and founded USC Entertainment Law Spotlight because of her lifelong passion for the entertainment industry. In her free time, Sahar loves visiting vintage and used bookstores, devouring books, seeing plays (and acting in them), and of course, watching movies.
MANAGING DIRECTOR & CO-FOUNDER
Cristina grew up in Los Angeles, CA with a passion for studying and defending the arts. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from University of California, Los Angeles and has received extensive training in areas of music, dance, and acting. As a second year law student at USC Gould School of Law, Cristina was excited to found the USC Entertainment Law Spotlight to serve as a forum for individuals who are looking discuss developments in entertainment law. Cristina was the Vice President and Co-Founder of the Art Law Society and currently works at LaPolt Law, P.C. where she is pursuing a career in music law. In her free time, Cristina enjoys composing and playing music and adding to her growing collection of musical instruments.

John grew up outside of Boston, MA and attended New York University where he pursued a BFA in Drama. After his first year at USC Law, he was an intern on the First Circuit Court of Appeals. As a second-year law student, he was co-president of OUTLaw, the school's LGBT student organization, and a member of the International Human Rights Clinic. He was a 2017 summer associate with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York City and will be returning to the firm after graduating in 2018. John is currently interning with VICE Media in Venice, CA.

Linde grew up in Springfield, Missouri. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Missouri State University and Qingdao University in Intercultural Chinese Studies. Before attending law school, Linde worked in film and media production for over seven years, including producing media for museums and creating a Mandarin language podcast. Linde enjoys writing short stories, watching movies, and long walks in the forest.

Alina Antounian received her bachelor’s degree from USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in 2012. Having an interest in both entertainment and law, Alina sought to earn experience in the legal field after graduation. She started to work in a business and intellectual property law firm as an office assistant and was later promoted to the office manager. Now, Alina is excited to put her two interests together at USC Gould School of Law. In her free time, Alina enjoys traveling, hanging out at the beach, and binge watching Netflix.
